
From 2003 to 2007, The National Surf League was the official sport organizer for the surfing portion of the Summer X Games. Starting with X Games 9 in 2003, the NSL’s "Game" format was used through X Games 13 in 2007. X Games surf was held in Huntington Beach as a battle between East and West Coasts and televised live on ABC in 2003 and 2004. The event was moved to Puerto Escondido in 2005 where it enjoyed amazing surf for the next three editions. In 2007, it was USA vs The World and the addition of women’s teams doing battle in perfect surf. Take a look at the coverage below from the past five edtions of X Games surf.
